Meet the Artist

Lindsay Agnew

Artist. Designer. Illustrator. Author. Muralist. Arts Educator.

Lindsay Agnew is the artist and founder of Studio Agnew, a working fine art and teaching studio in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida.

A lifelong artist, Lindsay began studying oil painting at age six under the guidance of a master oil painter. That early foundation in traditional fine art grew into a career spanning fine art, graphic design, illustration, environmental graphic design, visual storytelling, and arts education.

Lindsay earned a BFA in Graphic + Interactive Communication from Ringling College of Art and Design and has more than 15 years of professional experience in the creative industry. Her career includes work with Walt Disney Imagineering, where she worked in environmental graphic design, as well as serving as Creative Director for Panama Jack. Her professional experience has also included design and creative direction for e-commerce brands and other visual storytelling projects.

Today, Lindsay's creative practice moves freely between disciplines. Her work includes original paintings and drawings, murals, illustration, fine art prints, children's books, and creative works made from found and repurposed materials.

She is the author and illustrator of Princess Anna and the Twinkling Jewels and Star’s Imagination: A Creative Journey of Art and Stories, bringing together her love of illustration, storytelling, and design.

Art, Design & Education

Lindsay's background in both fine art and professional design shapes the way she approaches her work. Art provides the foundation; design brings structure, communication, and purpose; and storytelling connects the two.

That same perspective carries into her work as an arts educator.

Through Studio Agnew, Lindsay teaches drawing, watercolor, acrylic painting, printmaking, mixed media, book arts, and other creative techniques. Her classes and workshops focus on developing skills, understanding materials, exploring techniques, and encouraging students to become more confident and curious creators.

The Work Continues

Studio Agnew provides a place for all of these creative practices to exist side by side—a place to make art, teach, experiment, develop new ideas, and continue growing as an artist.

Whether she is working on a painting, designing a mural, illustrating a book, preparing a class, or experimenting with an unexpected material, Lindsay approaches each project with the same curiosity that has shaped her creative career from the beginning.

Art has always been the foundation. Design expanded the possibilities. Teaching created a way to share it. Studio Agnew brings it all together.
