Born to Create
I believe creativity is something we all carry within us.
It isn’t reserved for professional artists or those who think they are naturally talented. Creativity is something we are all born with—it simply needs the right environment, encouragement, and opportunity to grow.
This week, that creativity has already filled the studio as Kids Art Camp kicked off. It’s hard to believe we’re already on Day 3!
The campers began the week by exploring abstract art and discovering that art doesn’t always have to look like something to tell a story. Through color, shape, texture, and imagination, they’ve been creating artwork that is as unique as they are.
Watching their confidence grow with each project has been one of the highlights of the week.
Seeing new friendships form, hearing laughter fill the studio, and watching young artists proudly share their work is a reminder that creativity has a way of bringing people together.
And we’re just getting started.
Whether you’re interested in adult classes, homeschool programs, workshops, open studio sessions, or simply stopping by to say hello, I hope you’ll find a place here.
Thank you for welcoming Studio Agnew into this community and for helping create a place where creativity, connection, and belonging can grow.
I’m excited to continue building a place where creativity can grow, connections can form, and everyone feels welcome.
The doors are open, and a creative community
is already beginning to grow.
When I first imagined Studio Agnew, I pictured more than a place to paint or draw.
I imagined a place where people of all ages could learn new skills, explore their creativity, connect with others, and feel like they belonged.
This past weekend, that vision started becoming a reality.
Thank you to everyone who came out to the grand opening. It was such a joy meeting so many wonderful families, young artists, adults, neighbors, and community members. Every conversation, encouraging word, and thoughtful piece of feedback reminded me why this studio exists in the first place.
Throughout the weekend, I kept thinking about a little artist named Lindsay walking into her first art studio—filled with curiosity, excitement, and a desire to create. Standing inside Studio Agnew and watching young artists, families, and adults experience that same sense of possibility felt like a full-circle moment.
Your warm welcome truly means the world.
Hearing what you're excited to learn, the classes you hope to take, and the creative experiences you'd like to see helps shape the future of Studio Agnew. This isn't just a studio—it’s becoming a creative community, and I'm grateful you're helping build it from the very beginning.
Learn Art. Make Art. Belong.
These three words represent the heart of Studio Agnew.
Art is not just about creating a finished piece. It’s about learning new skills, building confidence, exploring ideas, and discovering something new about yourself along the way.
Whether you're picking up a pencil for the first time, returning to a hobby you haven't touched in years, or encouraging your child to discover their creativity, there is a place for you here.
