Frequently Asked Questions

Who can participate in these classes?
Our classes are designed for all skill levels, from beginners to experienced artists. They’re especially suited for adults in 55+ communities who want a structured, skill-building program. We tailor instruction so every participant can progress at their own pace, gain confidence, and achieve professional-quality results.

What types of art classes do you offer?
We offer a wide variety of media, including drawing, watercolor, acrylic, oil painting, pastels, charcoal, printmaking, and bookbinding. Classes are fully instructional and can be customized to meet the needs and interests of your community.

Do you provide materials?
Yes! We provide high-quality, professional-grade art supplies—the same materials used by professional artists to achieve the best results. Participants can keep the supplies they use, or bring their own if preferred. For communities with shared spaces or art rooms, supplies can be adapted for group-only use, separate from communal materials. While some materials may need to be replenished over time, most are reusable and designed for long-term use. Supplies can also be customized to match the class type, your community’s needs, and participants’ interests.

How many participants can join a class?
Classes are designed for small, personalized groups to ensure hands-on instruction. The standard rate covers 8–15 participants, and larger groups can be accommodated for a slightly higher rate, ensuring every participant receives professional guidance and attention.

Can classes be customized for our community’s interests?
Absolutely! We work with you to design projects, media, and themes tailored to your residents’ skill levels and interests. Because these are instructional art classes, we highly recommend starting with the Intro to Art Series. This foundational program teaches essential skills such as drawing, shading, perspective, composition, and color theory, providing the building blocks for advanced media like watercolor, acrylic, oil, or printmaking. Starting with the basics ensures participants gain confidence and achieve the best results in all future classes.

Where are the classes held?
We bring the classes directly to your community or private group location—no travel required. Sessions can be held in lifestyle rooms, community centers, or other available spaces, with set-up tailored to your environment. A room with a sink is preferred to make clean-up and materials management easier.

How long are the classes?
Sessions can be scheduled hourly, typically 1–2 hours, but we can also customize the schedule for single workshops, multi-week series, or ongoing programs. This flexibility ensures each class fits your community’s needs while providing a structured, skill-building experience.

Do you offer ongoing programs?
Yes! Our classes are designed as progressive instructional programs, allowing participants to start with foundational skills and advance through different media. Communities can schedule single sessions, multi-week series, or full programs to create a structured, skill-building experience that grows with participants’ abilities.
