Reigniting Imagination: The Heart Behind Studio Agnew

A dream that inspires imagination — that’s where it all started. I’ve always said I was born with a paintbrush in my hand. Creativity isn’t just what I do; it’s how I see the world. Every color, every idea, every design begins with a single spark — a moment of curiosity that turns into something meaningful.

Twelve months ago, that spark became a journey of reflection and reinvention that built Studio Agnew. It’s been a year of pivots, trial and error, learning, revisiting, and reimagining — but above all, it’s been transformative. And in a world where connecting people to imagination and creativity is so needed, it feels more important than ever.

What Is Studio Agnew?

Studio Agnew is an artistic brand built to nurture creativity and spark joy. It’s a reflection of how I see the world — full of color, curiosity, and endless possibility.

As an artist, I explore with mixed media and found objects to show that creativity truly has no limits. And as a children’s book author, I bring those same values to stories that fill classrooms and homes with wonder, kindness, and imagination.

The Problem

Art and creativity are slowly losing their place in our everyday lives. Schools are cutting programs. Parents are stretched thin. Families want to inspire creativity in their children, but they often lack the time, resources, or ideas to do so.

Yet art/creativity isn’t just an “extra.” It’s one of the most important ways young minds learn to express, explore, and build confidence. Without creativity, curiosity fades — and so does the joy of discovery.

The Solution: A.R.T.

At Studio Agnew, our mission is to bring creativity back home and into the community — through products, experiences, and stories that spark imagination.

A.R.T. is at the heart of everything we do:

🎨 Activate Imagination – Encouraging creativity through play, storytelling, and self-expression.
🌿 Reimagine with Purpose – Creating sustainable, meaningful ways to make art part of daily life.
💬 Tell Meaningful Stories – Connecting creativity to empathy, curiosity, and personal growth.

Our products are designed to make creativity accessible — even for busy families — by blending art, learning, and storytelling into experiences that inspire togetherness.

How / Why

Studio Agnew exists to ignite imagination and inspire creativity in people of all ages. We believe art is more than something you hang on the wall — it’s a way of thinking, connecting, and seeing the world differently.

Every project, event, and product we create is meant to remind families that creativity is not a luxury — it’s a vital part of growing, learning, and living with joy.

Because when we nurture imagination, we nurture the next generation of thinkers, dreamers, and doers.

Who Is Studio Agnew For?

Studio Agnew is for kids, parents, grandparents, and families — for anyone who believes that art can bring people closer together. Whether it’s through a storybook, a craft kit, or a piece of art that hangs on the wall, everything I create is meant to inspire imagination and joy.

Expanding the Studio

This past year, I’ve been developing DIY art activity kits to go along with my interactive children’s books and just getting started with my e-commerce art shop — adding things here and there to help families connect creatively.

My Art blog the Sketchbook Stories, that drops on social channels, my email subscribers on Wednesdays, that shares a dose of creativity by Studio Agnew: happenings, art thoughts, events, and behind-the-scenes insights. It’s a small way to connect with the community and share my process, inspiration, and ideas in real time.

I’ve been slowly working on my pop-up shop, figuring out how to set up displays that make the most sense and create a welcoming, playful experience for visitors.

This is something I thought I might wait until later in life to do — but I’m so glad I’m here right now, making products and experiences for kids, parents, and families to explore art and connection together.

Beyond children’s products, I’ve been designing websites, creating environmental signage design intent packages for theme parks, and collaborating with brands to bring their stories to life through visual experiences.

My studio is anything but ordinary. It’s full of creativity and imagination — the very two things I wanted to focus on with everything I create and release into the world.

What I’ve Learned in My First Year

Building a creative studio taught me that growth isn’t always linear — it’s a process of discovery. Some days are filled with inspiration; others ask for patience, reflection, and trust. I’ve learned that art thrives when you allow it to evolve, and that design becomes meaningful when it connects to people’s stories.

Studio Agnew has become more than creating art — it’s a celebration of creativity in all its forms.

Looking Ahead

As Studio Agnew moves into year two, I’m excited to continue exploring — through new stories, art experiences, and meaningful design collaborations. My goal is to keep creating work that inspires kids to read, discover creativity in many forms, dream a little bigger, and gain confidence through the power of their own imagination.

Take a moment to read my daily dose of inspiration from my interview with Orlando Voyage Magazine, just about a year ago, to see where I was then — and the growth that has brought me here today.

Thank you for being part of this journey. The best chapters are still to come.
